April 3rd, 2026 -
First of all, I would like to thank the membership on a fantastic 2025-26 curling season and time to welcome in Spring!. , For some teams however, the season is over. We have a small matter to find out who will be this years League Champion, and will be offering a spot to the Champion to represent the Rideau at the Curling Club championship playoff - that leads to the National Club Curling Champtionship next season!
Rules: All games are a full 8-ends, if tied after all 8 ends played, then a full 9th end, will be played to determine the winner - In the unlikely event, still tied after 9 - draw to the button to break that tie. Time rule no longer applies in playoffs, but please respect pace of play as we have been doing all season. Spares rules are still the same should you require one, and please consult the Spares Policy Page for further clarification. No-Tick Rule still applies.
NO Tick Rule In Force - The "no-tick" rule states that, "A rock that is touching the center line in the Free Guard Zone cannot be removed off the CENTRE LINE until the "6TH STONE" of an end has been delivered. The no-tick rule applies to rocks touching the center line in the Free Guard Zone, preventing their removal off the center line before the sixth stone of an end. Violating this rule gives the non-offending team the option to leave the stones where they stopped or replace them to their original positions. The rule aims to make games less predictable and reduce the advantage held by the team with the hammer, giving the team without the hammer a better chance to score.
Top 8 Teams have advanced to the Quarter Final Playoff, in the first round, higher seed gets last rock advantage, lower seed received choice of colour.
In the semi finals onwards - Coin Flip determines hammer
